Palm Beach State College recently opened its new 91,000 square foot Bio Science Technology Complex on its Palm Beach Gardens campus. The complex features labs and classrooms in biology and microbiology. Palm Beach State College collaborated with area bio science companies and researchers to ensure that the facility was built and equipped to industry standards.

Palm Beach State College and Florida Power & Light Company (FPL)have launched the Professional Training Pipeline, an innovative partnership designed to attract students with degrees in mechanical or electrical maintenance.

All of Palm Beach County is served by the School District of Palm Beach County

The School District of Palm Beach County is committed to excellence in education and preparation of all students with the knowledge, skills and ethics required for responsible citizenship and productive employment. 

The School District of Palm Beach County serves the entire county of more than 1.2 million people and is the 5th largest school district in Florida and the 12th largest in the nation. Approximately 5,000 new students enter Palm Beach County Schools each year.

The School District of Palm Beach County has earned an "A" rating from the Florida Department of Education. The district's 185 schools include 58 Magnet programs, 25 Choice programs and 51 Career Academies. 

Schools in Florida are graded based on student achievement, and those in Palm Beach County are among the highest-rated in the state. There are nearly 7,500 students in Gifted Programs.   in Palm Beach County Schools offer educational choices. While similar courses may be offered in traditional schools, choice programs attract students by offering unique opportunities for in-depth experiences and study in specific areas of interest.  Palm Beach County is also home to several internationally respected private schools.

 
Three Palm Beach County high schools earn high national marks as each is named in Newsweek Magazine's the Top 100 High Schools in the U.S.

Suncoast High School was number 3, Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts was number 33 and Atlantic Community High School was ranked 57 out of 1300 schools nationwide. Six other high schools placed in the top 5 percent nationally: Boca Raton High School, Spanish River High School, Palm Beach Gardens High Schools, Forest Hill High School, Jupiter High School and William T. Dwyer High School.

Palm Beach County also offers a large number of private school opportunities from pre-kindergarten classes to private high schools.

BARRY UNIVERSITY - A Private, fully-accredited institution offering bachelor's degrees in business, human resource management, legal studies, social welfare and public administration. Master's available in social work and human resource development and administration.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY - An urban regional university organized into nine colleges, offering undergraduate programs in 61 fields, master's degree programs in 44 fields, Ph.D. programs in 14 fields and doctor of education degrees in three fields.

KAPLAN UNIVERSITY - Kaplan is part of Kaplan Higher Education, a system of more than 65 campus-based schools nationwide. An accredited university providing educational services since 1937, Kaplan University offers master's, bachelor's, and associate's degrees, as well as certificate programs. The degree programs feature various emphasis areas and a comprehensive curriculum geared toward you career goals.

KEISER UNIVERSITY - Keiser University is a regionally accredited, private University with 13 campuses located throughout the state offering masters, bachelor & associate degrees both on campus and on-line in 31 areas of study. The West Palm Beach campus offers degrees in business administration, accounting, computer networking and security management, computer graphics, massage therapy, criminal justice, medical assisting, legal studies, nursing, and radiologic technology.

LINCOLN COLLEGE OF TECHNOLOGY AND FLORIDA CULINARY INSTITUTE - Lincoln College of Technology offers 18-24 month Associate Degree programs, a variety of continuing education certifications for business professionals, and new 9 and 12-month diploma programs for those on the career fast track. Lincoln Technical programs are tailored to meet the specific needs of the local employer market.
